Case Study

Quantware

About the case

QuantWare is a quantum computing pioneer based in the Netherlands, dedicated to making quantum technology accessible to all. Emerging from two years in stealth, they launched publicly in July 2021. With technology designed to be scalable, customizable, and within reach, QuantWare opens the door for creators and researchers to explore freely—turning possibility into progress and laying the groundwork for a future shaped by quantum discovery.

Photography had to be grounded in a sense of agency, not pulled by the gravitational weight of an unknown future, but subjects were centered by their confidence, even in the unknown. There is optimism and a touch of whimsy conveyed through color and tonal vibrancy.

We invited images that explore luminosity, shadow, light motion, refraction, lens flare, light leaks, and the depth and layering of an image.

Graphic Illustration

The graphic system draws on natural phenomena and structural flows. The same systems that reveal when something under the surface is moving or shifting. These visuals echo the tension inherent in emerging AI technologies: potential and uncertainty, disruption and protection.

It’s designed to reflect the big picture — the unpredictable nature of change, the fragile balance between power and vulnerability, the collective responsibility we carry in shaping a human-centered future of AI.

Through that lens, every line, shape, and color feels like part of a larger conversation: one about awareness, safety, humanity, and possibility.

The end result is a graphic illustrative system that supports Seismic not just as an organization issuing reports but as a movement advocating informed public engagement, responsible adoption, and proactive guardianship of human integrity in an AI-transformed world.

These forms were then woven into the design system across social graphics, banners, and advertising. They serve as subtle cues to the brand and its mission, adding a sense of luminosity and optimism about human agency in an uncertain future.

Quantware

We shaped a futuristic, streamlined brand for QuantWare—reflecting the sharp velocity of their work at the forefront of quantum innovation. To carry them through growth, we crafted a complete style guide and a sleek, custom Webflow site, designed for ease and clarity. With refined content, diagrams, and product photography, the experience feels precise and inviting—opening a gateway for discovery and connection.

They wanted a minimal, industrial brand with a futuristic edge—our answer was a dark, atmospheric identity accented by neon tones and dynamic textures that reflect their groundbreaking technology. While the logo was inherited, we refined its presentation—introducing a fresh color treatment and pairing it with a streamlined wordmark to anchor the interface. Guided by core values of confidence, charisma, expertise, and revolution, every element was crafted to build a world that feels bold yet inviting, dark yet full of possibility.

MVP website - We began by mapping goals, use cases, and solutions, leading to a product-first site designed to guide users straight to what matters most—exploring QuantWare’s offerings. Each product features its own seamless inquiry form, making the next step feel effortless. A secondary focus on recruitment shaped a self-managed careers section, woven throughout the site with clear calls to action and a dedicated Partner page, positioning QuantWare within the wider quantum ecosystem and reinforcing their credibility. From wireframes to high-fidelity design, we brought the brand’s textures and accents to life—balancing clean structure with subtle motion to guide the eye. With a smooth, uninterrupted scroll and a cohesive visual rhythm, the site is built to feel focused and fluid. Working closely with the QuantWare team, we refined every detail before moving into development and QA. (More information and UI available upon request)
